Buck Creek Redesign

These clients were on a week long vacation when their refrigerator decided to go on the fritz! The hardwood floor in the kitchen was destroyed along with the basement ceiling. The home owner was able to replace and repair the necessary planks on the wood floor but decided to remodel their basement earlier than planned. The basement floor was partially tile with a carpet inlay. The man of the house wanted to remove a window on one of the walls because it was under the deck, but the lady of the home was concerned with losing light.
After a two-hour meeting, we decided that the window would go, and the floor would be replaced with vinyl wood looking tiles. The lady of the house loved JoAnna Gaines on HGTV and had her love of shiplap. Since we were working on a budget, we decided to use tongue and groove on two of the walls and white wash it. It turned out great!
The homeowners decided to invest in a new sofa, loveseat and recliner set in charcoal gray and she was lucky enough to find an Ethan Allen chair in great condition, for the library side of the room.
The rest of the décor was what the homeowners already owned and I re-decorated the room with things they already loved.
